Situated 1.300 km from Paris station.

Continuosly manned by three signalmen working 8 hour shifts; work schedule changed every week.

Signals all local trains on the belt line (Ceinture) and shunting moves between sidings  and main lines and vice versa. Also works junction signals for local trains (tramways).  

Signalmen are responsible for repairing, cleaning and oiling all apparatus, including equipment in the basement of the box. However, underground point rodding and signal wires are the responsibility of the 3:d division.



The box is equipped with telephone lines to boxes 1 bis, 2, 4 and 5.
