Poste Sémaphorique J (kilom 3.100)
Blockpost manned by two signalmen, one on day service from 6 am to 6 pm,
the other signalman working from 6 pm to 6 am. The work schedule is
switched every week; the day service is then performed by a relief signalman,
so that each signalman of the block post gets 24 hours rest once every
week.
Meals are to be taken in the box.
The duty of the signalmen in block post J is to manipulate
- the electro-semaphores
- a distant disk to protect trains on the line from Pontoise
- a distant signal for protection of trains stopping at La Plaine platform
on the line to Pontoise .
The signalmen are responsible for cleaning, repairing and oiling all apparatus
except underground signal wires
